Southern Pacific

'Southern Pacific'

'West Country' Pacific No.34015 'Exmouth' makes a typically dramatic start from Exeter Central as a 'Merchant Navy' No.35003 'Royal Mail' slides into platform 2 with a train from London Waterloo on a damp October evening in 1960. Both of these locomotives survived until 1967 almost to the end of steam on the Southern Region of British Railways.
